What You Will Learn

Start with these essentials

  • Hybrid considers morning continuation and reversal conditions.
  • A skipped session can be an intended strategy outcome.
  • Review the stop, target, time-based exit, and contract size together.

Who This Is For

  • Traders preparing to connect and test an automated strategy.
  • Traders comparing supported accounts, setup requirements, and monitoring tools.
  • Traders learning what they need to monitor after connecting.

Before You Use This Guide

  • Automated trading still requires monitoring and risk controls.
  • Do not use this guide as a reason to increase size before testing the account connection and order behavior.

The Problem This Guide Helps You Solve

A busy opening session can create several apparently convincing moves. Hybrid Trader is the selective strategy inside the AutoTrader membership: it combines technical conditions and market structure around the New York open and looks for a qualifying morning continuation or reversal. Understanding a skipped session is as important as understanding a completed trade.

How to use this in your workflow

Work through these checks in order. The examples explain a process; they are not instructions to place a trade.

Separate continuation from reversal

Continuation and reversal describe different trade ideas, not interchangeable labels for the same candle. Hybrid evaluates its morning conditions before entering. The public explanation is an overview of that process, not a complete specification you can reproduce by copying a single indicator setting.

Expect some sessions to stay flat

If the strategy conditions do not qualify, no entry is a normal outcome. Do not treat a quiet session as a reason to force a manual trade or change contract count. First distinguish an intentional skip from an account or connection issue by checking the dashboard and available status information.

Review exits as well as entries

Hybrid's published description includes a stricter stop, a variable take-profit, and a time-based exit. These features should be considered together with contract size. A stop order does not guarantee its intended fill price, and a time-based exit is not a promise that a session will end profitably.

Choose the strategy per account

The current membership includes both Hybrid and AutoTrader, with one strategy selected per account. Verify the selection and your intended contract size before enabling it. Use the product page for current access terms rather than assuming the email guide or this article grants software access.

Examples and limits

A strong move that is not a qualifying setup

Price can move sharply after the open without meeting Hybrid's conditions. That does not necessarily mean the system missed an order. A strategy has defined selection rules; it is not designed to capture every move visible afterward on a chart.

A qualifying setup that loses

A valid strategy trade can still hit its stop or exit at a loss. Review whether the account followed the configured strategy separately from whether the market outcome was favorable. Neither selectivity nor an automated exit eliminates drawdown.

Common Execution Mistakes To Avoid

  • Forcing a trade because the strategy skipped a session.
  • Judging a strategy only by its winning examples.
